MANILA – Century Properties Inc added the Armani Group to its portfolio of international partners after teaming up with the luxury designer for the Philippine property developer’s latest residential project in its master planned vertical village in Makati City.
In a statement, Century Properties said Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio will be in charge of the furnishings of the high-end residential units, common areas and amenities at Century Spire, a 60-storey residential tower expected to generate P8 billion in revenues.
Century Spire, scheduled for completion by end-2018, is the last of five luxury residential skyscrapers to rise in Century City.
Designed by award-winning architectural firm Studio Daniel Libeskind, Century Spire will showcase residential units “characterized by elegant spaces and graceful interiors, not to mention amazing views of the Makati skyline.”
“If the architect’s aim is to create remarkable spaces, then it is my aim to bring these to life through my interior-design aesthetic,” said Giorgio Armani, president and chief executive of the Armani Group.
“I am very pleased to be partnering Armani/Casa with Century Properties, and believe that the combination of Daniel Libeskind’s vision and my own will result in a truly remarkable place to live, full of elegance and wonder,” Armani added.
Libeskind is the American visionary architect behind the rebuilding of New York’s Ground Zero.
“We wanted to work with a brand that could bring an eminent degree of sophistication to this singular building,” said Jose E.B. Antonio, chairman and CEO of Century Properties.
“Armani/Casa fits the bill perfectly. Their designs are sophisticated, comfortable and functional. They not only fit the Studio Daniel Libeskind aesthetic but bring an extraordinary level of quality to their interior design work,” Antonio said.
Since 2003, Armani/Casa has provided complete interior design services to private individuals and property developers, from the conceptual phase through to the management of construction. Among its most recent projects are Macka Residences in Istanbul, Turkey and The World Towers in Mumbai, India.
Century Properties is known for its portfolio of local and internationally renowned brand partners that include hotel heiress Paris Hilton, American real estate mogul Donald Trump, world renowned fashion brand Versace, Italian brand MissoniHome and the Forbes media group.
The property developer recently tied-up with Japanese gaming tycoon Kazuo Okada for a five-hectare residential and retail project at the former’s integrated resort and gaming complex at the Entertainment City of state-owned Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.
Century City is home to the Gramercy Residences, Knightsbridge Residences, Milano Residences interior design by Versace Home, and Trump Tower. It will also feature the state-of-the-art medical facility Centuria Medical Makati and the retail complex Century City Mall.
Century Properties’ earnings rose by 11.8 percent to P1.06 billion in the first six months of this year after revenues advanced 7.2 percent to P5.29 billion during the period.
